Steep loose leaf yaupon tea unencumbered by the hassle of packing an infuser (like a tea ball). Allow your yaupon tea to fully saturate in your hot water, rather than packing the leaves tightly against each other.
Steep 1.5 tsp of loose leaf in 8 oz of hot water (just under boiling). Place the strainer over the mouth of a second tea cup and pour your steeped yaupon tea into the cup. The strainer handles remain cool to the touch and the strainer is easy to clean under running water. Additionally, the drip pan keeps your preparation surface tidy as the strainer air dries.
